揖斐川、長良川、木曽川、飛騨川といった清流に流れ込み、海へと流れていく中、時には生命の源として、また時には生命を脅かす存在として、畏敬の念を持ちながら生きていく中で、独特の文化が生まれました。
そんな素晴らしい地で育まれたモノや考えを皆様にお伝えできればと考えます。
Gifu is known as the land of trees and mountains, with about 60% of its area covered by mountainous terrain. In this region of clear mountains and waters, a unique culture has emerged, nurturing traditional crafts and performing arts.
Gifu is also a land of fields and water. The clear streams of the Ibi River, Nagara River, Kiso River, and Hida River flow into the sea. Throughout this journey, these rivers have served as a source of life at times and, at other times, as a threat to it. Living in reverence of these waters has given rise to a distinct culture.
We hope to share the wonderful creations and ideas nurtured in this remarkable land with all of you.
